Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is available to all on-the-ground graduate and undergraduate students who may require support for emotional or mental health concerns.

Log into the Simmons Health Portal and select Forms. Under Counseling, please fill out the initial paperwork with as much information as possible. This includes Counseling Center Consent to Teletherapy, Counseling Center Consent to Treatment, and Counseling Center Demographic Information.

Email or call to let us know that you have completed the paperwork and are ready to make an appointment. If you need to be seen urgently (1-2 days), please include URGENT in your email subject line.

If you are experiencing an urgent matter and are on campus, please contact Public Safety: 617-521-1112. If you are off campus, please call 911 or visit your local emergency room.

Simmons REEF Center

The REEF Support Center is a centralized student resource hub that offers support specific to food access, housing access, off-campus living, the SOS Emergency Fund, and violence prevention, education, and survivor support. The REEF Support Center team offers 1 on 1 support in accessing on and off-campus resources and guides students in navigating challenges that may impact their academics.

ComPsych® SAP

ComPsych® can help you resolve stressful personal and family issues, or direct you to legal, financial, or family care resources when you need them most.

While ComPsych® does provide 24-hour support, to talk through immediate challenges or concerns, and to provide appropriate referrals, students, please call 911 if they need crisis/emergency support

GuidanceResources® are available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  1. Call: 800.272.7255 to speak to a counseling professional who will listen to concerns and can guide students to the appropriate services they require.

Uwill Student Mental Health and Wellness

2U is transitioning from Perspectives starting today, May 3, 2022, to Uwill to provide mental health support to students enrolled in 2U-powered programs. Uwill is a leading teletherapy platform that enables college students nationwide to receive real-time counseling online from a network of licensed mental health professionals.

What is Uwill? Uwill is a leading mental health and wellness solution that allows students the ability to connect immediately with licensed available mental counselors based on their unique needs and preferences.

What types of counseling can I receive through Uwill? Uwill is designed to help students facing a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, specific relationship problems, family concerns, academic performance difficulties, loneliness, and sleep disturbance, among others. No problem is too big, no problem is too small.

How does it work? With Uwill, you have the ability to choose a therapist based on your preferences (issue, gender, language, ethnicity), choose a time that fits your schedule (day, night, weekend availability), and choose the appointment type (video, phone, chat, message).
